The winner is Dr. I. Ahmed, staff ophthalmologist from Toronto for the study: Long-term Outcomes from the HORISON Randomized Trial for a Schlemm’s Canal Microstent in Combination Cataract and Glaucoma Surgery, published in Ophthalmology, 2022.
The Stephen Drance Award
The judges for the Stephen Drance Award were Drs. Ali Hafez, Nir Shoham-Hazon, Lisa Heckler, Katie Birt and Raageen Kanjee.
There were nine trainees who presented their research (10 papers) at the COS in Quebec City in June 2023.
The winner is Runjie (Bill) Shi for the study: Novel Ultrafast Visual Field Testing with The Toronto Portable Perimeter (TPP). Co-authors are Moshe Eizenman, Michael Balas, Gareth Leung, Yan Li, Myrna Lichter, Steve Arshinoff and Willy Wong.
